The people are damn excited to see Drake London with an actual quarterback and a better head coach. I am one of those people. He is now inside the top 12 wide receivers that are being drafted, though in the mid to late second round in a lot of drafts. He's going to be going before the likes of Mike Evans, Derrick Henry, maybe even Michael Pittman as well.
But the Atlanta offense didn't just add a quarterback; they added more offensive weapons: Darnell Mooney and Rondale Moore. They still have Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson. It's not like Cousins is going to go out there weekly and only have Drake London to throw to. We also can't forget that Atlanta has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, so you know they're going to want to run the football.
Now, as the wide receiver 12, he would have to score somewhere in the neighborhood of 206 fantasy points, which is right around 80 catches for 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns. That would be a career-high across the board for Drake London, but it is possible. We know that Cousins likes to throw the ball downfield; we saw him do it consistently to Justin Jefferson. Now, no, Drake London is not Justin Jefferson, but they can play a similar role.
With so much unknown, though, in this Atlanta offense, I really prefer Drake London to be my wide receiver two. But with his ADP in the second round, that means that you would have had to also go wide receiver in round one. If you do that, you may be hurting yourself at the running back position.
Now, if you find yourself really wanting Drake London in 2024, I'm not against it. Just know that we're expecting something that he's never done before. With that being said, make sure you have some added wide receiver depth in the mid to late rounds, just in case it doesn't pan out the way that a lot of people are expecting it to.
