Now we all know Josh Allen is going to be expensive on draft day, his ADP probably going to be somewhere right around the late second round. But we also know that Josh Allen is going to score fantasy points. He's been a top-two fantasy quarterback now for four years straight. He's had over 4,000 yards passing and at least 40 total touchdowns in those same four years. But he's also had four straight years with over 100 rush attempts and at least 420 rushing yards in each season. But now he doesn't have Stefon Diggs, he doesn't have Gabe Davis, and now he has a decent group of receivers, but there's no alpha there, at least not yet. Keon Coleman could turn into that for sure, but we also have the likes of Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, and Dalton Kincaid as his top options in 2024.
Now, while I think we could see a slight regression in passing yards and touchdowns from Josh Allen, he's not going to be some average quarterback in fantasy football. My biggest concern is his price on draft day. A second-round selection is a healthy investment, and I say that because if Allen regresses at all, even in the slightest, he's going to be right there with like three other quarterbacks. The difference is those quarterbacks you can get in later rounds. Now, if Josh Allen was a fourth-round pick, I'd jump over that 10 out of 10 times, but I don't expect him to fall that late, like ever. Just know that if you draft Josh Allen early, more than likely you're going to be struggling at either the running back position or the wide receiver position. Now I can tell you this: the wide receiver position is much deeper than the running back position, so if you go Josh Allen, I'd be sure to probably have a stud running back in the first.
