I feel like everyone hates Dak Prescott, and part of me thinks it's because of the games he doesn't win. Because fantasy production wise, he's great. He's last year's quarterback three overall and was one of only three fantasy quarterbacks to score over 350 fantasy points just last season. The guy has thrown for over 4,400 yards and 30 touchdowns every full season he's played since 2019, which has been three times.
He's lost Michael Gallup, they lost Tony Pollard, but still has one of the best wide receivers in the game in CeeDee Lamb, a veteran wide receiver in Brandin Cooks, and an underrated third-year wide receiver in Jalen Tolbert. And let's also not forget about potential breakout tight end Jake Ferguson.
Now, the offensive line and the running game aren't what they used to be. Sure, Zeke Elliott is back now, but he's not what he was a couple of years ago either. But that could really help Dak, right? If the running game can't get going, if they fall behind, they're just going to have to throw the ball more.
It also feels like, though, a lot of the other NFC East teams got better, and if that's the case, that's six games right there that Dak Prescott is going to have to keep his foot on the gas pedal and try to outscore his opponent. He may not be one of the sexiest names in your fantasy lineup, but he's going to throw the ball a lot. Plus, it's a contract year for Dak Prescott. Doesn't sound like the Cowboys may sign that big-time contract with him, which means he's playing for a fat bag of cash.
He should be another top 10 option in 2024 and not someone you're scared to draft.
