2025 Fantasy Football Outlook
Stability in Role & Opportunity
Opposite Tyreek Hill in Miami’s high-volume “air raid”-style offense
Bounceback Potential
In games with Tua at QB, Waddle averaged solid production
The departure of TE Jonnu Smith may shift more intermediate/slot snaps back to Waddle, restoring his earlier usage
Headliner Take
Jaylen Waddle enters the 2025 season coming off a down year in 2024, where he posted career lows in receptions (58), receiving yards (744), and touchdowns (2) across 15 games. His target share hovered around 16%, and his yards per route run (1.53) reflected a decline in efficiency compared to prior seasons. Waddle’s fantasy value in 2025 largely hinges on the stability of Miami’s passing attack and Tua Tagovailoa’s health, as his production was significantly stronger in games with Tua under center. While his role alongside Tyreek Hill limits target volume, Waddle remains a key piece of the offense with WR2 potential if Miami’s offense rebounds and he sees an uptick in usage or efficiency. It does help Waddle that Jonnu Smith was moved to PIT. Darren Waller has been out of football for awhile and it will take time for him to get back to game shape. Could provide a hot start for Waddle.
