RB: J.K. Dobbins - LAC

Since JK Dobbins entered the league back in 2020, he's missed over 40 career games. His rookie season finished off on a really strong note; down the stretch, he looked really good, only missed one game that year, and was primed to be a breakout candidate. But then he only played in one game in 2021, missed a large chunk of the 2022 season, and then he only played in one game in 2023.

When he's healthy and on the field, JK Dobbins is a very good running back. He is fantasy viable, and if he were to be 100% this year, there is an opportunity for him to be a top-24 running back with the LA Chargers. But he's had so many injuries. Has he lost a step? Is all of his explosiveness gone? Is he going to be injured again? There are just so many question marks around JK Dobbins. In redraft leagues, it's really hard for me to invest in him because I just have no idea what I'm going to get.

The safer bet in this backfield would definitely be Gus Edwards, and Kimani Vidal is probably even a safer bet as well as a rookie over JK Dobbins. If you want to risk it late, then absolutely try it. Go for it. See if he can stay healthy and give you the production. But unfortunately, there's such a large chance that he's going to be disappointing that I would rather not even risk it.
