Truth be told, there aren't a lot of quarterbacks out there that haven't broken out already, and Kyle already beat me to Will Levis. But Jayden Daniels found himself in a great situation for a rookie quarterback—may not be as good as what Caleb Williams has, but still pretty freaking good in Washington. He has immediate weapons like Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Austin Ekeler, and Brian Robinson. Rookies like Luke McCaffrey and tight end Ben Sinnott, and he gets a very, very fantasy-friendly offensive coordinator led by Kliff Kingsbury.
Now, Kingsbury as an offensive coordinator is way better than Kingsbury as a head coach. During his time in Arizona, he led the Cardinals to multiple top-eight overall finishes in total team yards. Twice, he had a top 15 overall offense in points scored as well. So, he may not be able to lead a team to a bunch of victories, but he knows how to put up yards, which in turn scores fantasy points. And he did it with a young mobile quarterback in Kyler Murray. There's no reason why he can't do the same thing with Jayden Daniels.
He's going to have the weapons where he can go deep down the field. He's going to have threats underneath as well that can really make things happen after the catch. But don't get it twisted, Jayden Daniels wants to go deep down the field as much as he possibly can, and it's one of the things he does best. But here's where it gets a little bit more interesting. Daniels hasn't had lower than 700 yards rushing in each of his last three seasons in college. The dude has had 321 carries over the last two seasons. If this guy can get anywhere near 100 rush attempts, he's going to be a top 12 fantasy quarterback.
Then we add in the fact that he's already got some stud wide receivers to throw to. Brandon Aiyuk is on FaceTime wanting to go to Washington, an offense that is really fantasy-friendly. I mean, imagine Jayden Daniels in this offense utilizing the play action with the likes of Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler in the backfield. We could see deep balls on a weekly basis. If this guy plays anywhere near 17 games this season, he's going to be a top 12 fantasy quarterback and a guy that a lot of people may be a little bit iffy on.
